What is Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Protection?

Chapter 7 is the most common form of Arizona bankruptcy and is most often filed by individuals and couples. This bankruptcy protection is also available to corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies (LLCs). In Arizona Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings, a court-appointed trustee liquidates your non-exempt assets and divides funds equally between creditors. All remaining debts are then discharged.

  • Together with you, we will determine if a filing for bankruptcy is the right decision for you.
  • We complete your bankruptcy filing paperwork (“petition”) is and mail it to you.
  • You review your petition and then call to set up a signing appointment with your Arizona bankruptcy attorney. (Or you can mail the paperwork to us and then review the petition via a telephone consultation with your Arizona bankruptcy attorney).
  • We file your case for you with the Bankruptcy Court.
  • You will receive a letter from us informing you of the date, time and location of your Meeting of Creditors.

  • Your discharge will be mailed out by the Bankruptcy Court's office approximately 90 days after the Meeting of Creditors.
